Nebraskans Okay Corn Funds

The Nebraska Corn Board recently approved more than $400,000 in checkoff funding for research aimed at finding new uses for corn.

The research projects range from developing bioplastics from corn to improving the efficiency of the corn-to-ethanol process.

"This is the most money our board has ever directed towards new uses corn research," says Don Hutchens, Corn Board executive director. "It signals our board's commitment to create new demand for all of the corn we produce in Nebraska and the U.S."
