NEW UTILITY VEHICLES
John Deere introduces the Gator XUV 4×4, available in electronic fuel injection (EFI) gas and diesel versions.
The Gator XUV features a best-in-class True 4WD system with an on-demand locking front differential that Deere says provides greater operator control than competitive products. This system allows the operator to select 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-wheel drive operation for rugged terrain and everything in between. The Gator XUV has an 11-in. ground clearance and a full-clutch enclosure that is standard on all gas models.
It also features a new Advanced Suspension System that provides customers a comfortable ride. The suspension has been optimized to handle everything from light or no-load operations to maximum cargo capacity (900 lbs. for the cargo box, 1,300 lbs. total payload capacity), along with an increase in acceleration and a higher top speed of 30 mph.
The Gator XUV utility vehicle lineup includes the gas XUV 620i (available in both green and yellow, and olive and black color schemes) and the best-in-class diesel XUV 850D. All will be available at local John Deere dealerships beginning in early spring 2007.
Also, the new Gator TH 6×4 Diesel starts with an 854-cc Yanmar diesel engine that gives it 30% more displacement than the previous Gator 6×4 Diesel it replaces. The Gator TH 6x4 Diesel delivers approximately 20% more maximum torque than its predecessor with a higher top speed of 20 mph.
The machine has a 1,600-lb. payload capacity, 1,400-lb. towing capacity and 25-in. cargo-box load height. It also features dual radiators that provide efficient transfer of heat away from the engine compartment and a reinforced frame.
